Privacy Notices (sometimes called ‘Fair Processing Notices’) are a statutory requirement to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and need to contain the details of any third parties with whom the school shares information.
Following the outcome of a serious case review in Stoke on Trent, schools are now required to share information with NHS Healthcare Trusts. Where appropriate, we will send to relevant National Health Service personnel (e.g. school nurses, the NHS Health Information Team) information on individual pupils changing school (or address) to ensure continuity of health care. Where such information transfer needs to take place, consideration will be given to the most secure means of transfer available, appropriate to the sensitivity of data being sent.
Please visit http://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/education/yourdata for information about the processing of pupils’ personal data, including contact details, assessment results, attendance information, ethnic group, special educational needs and relevant medical information.
