Mrs Crawforth Head Teacher & Foundation Stage Teacher
I’m Sam Crawforth and have worked at Blackshaw Moor First School since January 1996 starting as a Teaching Assistant, qualifying as a teacher whilst working and was appointed as the Headteacher in September 2017. As it is a small school, I also teach part-time in the Foundation Stage class which combines nursery and reception children. Nursery children can attend up to 15 or 30 hours depending on the funding and are able to come for all or part of a day depending on the needs of each family. Reception children are full time. I am the Foundation Stage Coordinator for the school and in addition to this, I am also the coordinator for Maths, RE and Worship, Design and Technology and CPD.
